If you’ve been reading for a while, you know I love samples and don’t really like buying something until I try it out. Lately, I’ve been doing the exact opposite and just buying things I want to try and figuring out what to do later. I also did this with The Ordinary brand, which you can read about it here.
I ran out of cleanser and I was struggling for a little bit because I wasn’t getting myself to a store to buy a new one. I didn’t want to go back to my last cleanser because I didn’t hate it, but I also didn’t love it. The only other cleansers that I had tried a sample of and loved was a Bobbi Brown cleanser, but the price was exorbitant. Like I just couldn’t. The other cleanser I wanted to try was the MAC Cosmetics Lightful C + Coral Grass Cleanser, but it was sold out in stores because it was being reformulated at that time. I decided to wait until the new product came in.
I ended up picking the Belif Creamy Cleansing Foam Moist. If you’re wondering why this particular brand, it’s because I previously tried a sample of their Aqua Bomb Moisturizer. I liked the sample so much that I decided to look into their cleansers. I did check out other cleansers when I went into Sephora, but I liked the price point of this one and that it has humectant. In laymen’s terms, it’s something that helps keep the skin hydrated. I got super hype and bought it.
I’ve been using this cleanser twice a day for several months now. Honestly, I’m obsessed. I don’t remember the last time I loved a cleanser so much. It’s super soft and it foams up nicely. My skin actually feels clean after using it without my skin feeling like it’s about to crack. My favorite thing is that it actually removes any makeup residue I have left. If you’ve read my Skincare Routine, you know that I always remove my makeup with wipes and then proceed to wash my face–essentially I double cleanse. This Belif cleanser does a great job at removing anything I might have missed, and my skin doesn’t feel overly dry. So far, this cleanser has taken the spot for the holy grail of cleansers I’ve tried.
I definitely recommend this cleanser if you have dry skin, and you’re looking for something that actually makes you feel clean after. Have you tried this cleanser? What are your thoughts about it? What’s your favorite cleanser? Let me know in the comments.
